Struck by the irony of having to go to the post office to mail a resume package for a job as Digital Marketing Manager. And a little annoyed. It’s rare not to have an online application option or an email for HR for any position any more. Also, I must have a substitute mail carrier today. My mail was picked up about four hours earlier than usual. These are the kind of details you can really pay attention to when you’re home all day.
I haven’t been nearly as motivated with my networking this week as I was last. That’s actually a gross understatement. I’m blaming it on the weather. You know that saying “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb”? It’s March 28th, and I’m still waiting for that gentle lamb-like weather. I feel like I’m living through the longest January on record.
I did make some progress this week in getting myself set up for a life of freelancing. I have a name (Onion River Marketing), a PO Box, business cards, and my website is in progress. All I need now are clients (well, in addition to my star client: my sister’s and brother-in-law’s business)!
