My New Reality

I got laid off last week. My first thought when it happened was “Huh. I got out of bed to get laid off.” My second thought was “But I just put my lunch in the fridge.” So yes, I was surprised.

I’m still getting used to my new reality. I mean, it is only Day 4. I’m realizing I’m going to need another pair of sweatpants.

I do believe that things happen for a reason and that when one door closes, etc., etc. So I have that going for me.

It’s a bit of a shock to the system to suddenly have all this time. Of course I came up with a list of how I’m going to fill it.

  1. Find a new job (obvious, I know, but I like to put that kind of stuff on a to do list)
  2. Totally clean and organize my house. (Because I’m pretty sure the full-time job was all that was stopping me on this one)
  3. Get in the best shape of my life (Because: see above)
  4. Cook more (ditto)

Ok, so essentially I’m thinking I’m going to completely reinvent myself.
